‘인생은 영화 같다’ 라는 구절은 자주 들은 나머지 진부하게 느껴질 지경이지만, 정작 ‘내 인생은 영화로 만들어질 만한 인생일까?’를 생각해 보면 괜히 작아지는 듯한 느낌이 들더라고요. 주머니 사정도 딱히 좋지 않고, 진로를 고민하면 막막하고, 어른답게 살겠다고 다짐하지만 누워서 빈둥대는 게 가장 좋은, 지극히 평범하면서 멋있는 구석 하나 없는 제 인생도 영화가 될 수 있을까요? 아무도 이런 인생은 영화로 만들고 싶지 않아 한다면, 제가 직접 감독이 되어 발벗고 나서서 제 인생을 영화로 만들어보기로 다짐했고, 그 결과 이 세상에 나오게 되었어요. 기존에 프로듀서로만 주로 활동하던 제가 처음으로 작사/랩/노래 등을 도맡아 만든 이 앨범엔, 꾸밈없고 담백한 저의 20대 초반의 생각과 에피소드들이 녹아 들어가 있어요. 여느 영화처럼 스케일이 크지도 않고, 통쾌한 성공담도, 장엄한 슬픔도 없지만, 그럼에도 은 저와 비슷한 삶을 살고 계신 누군가의 곁에 조용하고 꾸준하게 함께하는 앨범이 되었으면 합니다. 들어주셔서 감사합니다.
