Bashar Barakah Jackson was a renowned American rapper, singer, and songwriter, he is professionally known by his stage name Pop Smoke. The artist was born on July 20, 1999, in Canarsie, Brooklyn. Pop Smoke spent his childhood in the Canarsie part of Brooklyn, He was a basketball scholarship winner toatRocktop Academy at 15 years of age. In the year 2018, Pop Smoke started his career in music as he colluded with UK drill artists as well as producers, who later applied more minimal and dynamic instrumentation than its Chicago counterpart. In 2019, Pop Smoke dropped his debut track titled, “MPR” which brought too much buzz in the areas of Brooklyn. Later, in January 2019, he dropped another project titled “Flexing”, which got 100,000 views on YouTube within a day, which was a big achievement for the young artist. later in April 2019, Pop Smoke revealed that he got signed to a record label named “Victor Victor Worldwide”, Pop Smoke Discography, Popular Songs & Career Highlights In late April 2019, the artist Pop Smoke rose to fame when he dropped his breakthrough track which was titled "Welcome to the Party", the happening song was the lead track for his debut mixtape which was titled, Meet the Woo (2019), and it was produced by 808Melo. The hit track later was remixed for two times, in which the first one featured Nicki Minaj and the other featured Skepta and the song was noted for its usage of UK drill production. After the success of his debut mixtape, Pop Smoke collaborated with many artists including Lil Tjay who was featured in "War" as well as Calboy who was featured in "100k on a Coupe”. Later the artist collaborated with many more artists such as JackBoys and Travis Scott, for "Gatti", which was the last track of the album “JackBoys” by Scott and Cactus Jack members. Pop Smoke dropped his second mixtape titled Meet the Woo 2, in February 2020, in which Quavo, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Fivio Foreign, and Lil Tjay were featured, in just a few days of release, the album’s deluxe edition was released with three new songs, "Wolves" in which Nav was featured, "Dior (Remix)" in which Gunna featured, and "Like Me" featuring PnB Rock. Pop Smoke after being shot twice during a home invasion in Hollywood Hills, California, died on February 19, 2020. Artist got several nominations for awards such as BET Awards, BET Hip Hop Awards as well as MTV Video Music Awards.
