Cameroonian-born South African hip hop artist Steve Dang famously known by his stage name Yung Swiss was born on 29th May 1994. He is a well-known songwriter, recording artist, and performer from Rosettenville, Johannesburg. His music genre includes hip-hop and trap music. His interest in music arose at a very early age. Swiss was a rebellious kid from childhood. At a very young age of late teens, he had a rift with his father over his career choice, where at the last he left his father’s home. His father always wanted him to be a Soccer player where else his interest was in hip-hop. He hasn't seen his mother from the past 10 yrs. Career, Awards, Achievements Swiss started his career in late 2014. His first single release with South African rapper, entitled “I Love It” made its debut on Famous African Youth radio station. With the release of his second single “David Genaro”, he gave a tribute to Jami Bartlett for his role in his popular drama series “Rhythm City”. His freestyle single “Mayo” chorus is the highest-charting single that was loved and played mostly on South African radio stations for continuous 12 weeks. It has also been to the number one spot on the African chart, Nigeria. Mayo celebrated Gold just after 10 months of its release. His promotion single “Locked Up” featured Cameroon’s artist Stanley Enow received thumbs up from the viewers and was loved by audiences across the border. He reached fame very early in his career. His single in 2016, “The High” topped the charts. Most of his work is inspired by his personal life and the struggle he had during his journey in the industry so far. His debut project album “Bottom Baby” is one such example. It had super hits like “Jungle”, “The High”, “Locked Up”.
