Get out of bed get on the train

Walk under shop fronts to avoid the rain

Forget the paper drink my coffee hold the elevator

Now I'm looking out the window

Of my 9th floor office

The steam from my cup is always

Clouding up my view

But it's a grey day anyway so nothing new

If it was friday I would walk out the door

Strap on my wings and fly away

Get out of my head

I would could lose myself for a couple of days

Until the monday morning rush on the train

The only saving grace

The 10am cigarette break

Nobody seems to mind that I don't smoke

I just stand in line and choke

I got nothing to lose

I'll photocopy my face
