Kali is a 16-year-old singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer who began writing and recording her brand of glistering, catchy indie songs and assembled her first band Big Wednesday. Her debut single Back To The Start is a captivating, heartwarmingly lush and intuitive indie-pop tinged banger. Speaking about the introspective process that led to her solo project, she said: “As I got older, I started to have experiences that were much more emotional and personal, and songwriting became an actual necessity instead of something that was fun for me to do.” The track comes together with a video co-directed by her, Zealand Yancy and Sophia Ziskin, which captures the joy of being a teenager as Kali drives around the city with her friends
