bio About Cynthia At age 14, Cynthia was playing guitar and performing cover versions of songs by The Who, Jethro Tull, James Taylor, Cat Stevens, and anything she could learn off from a record or after hearing it on the radio. She wrote and performed original songs in area coffeehouses, often with another guitarist and/or bass player and drummer.       Afterattending the prestigious Boston Conservatory and receiving a Bachelor of Music degree from Western Connecticut State University, her love of language and desire to travel tookher abroad.She spent several years traveling between London, England and Carcassonne, France. There she performed regularly at L'Ostal des Troubadours, a cabaret-style restaurant featuring a variety of musicians. At L'Ostal, Cynthia had the opportunity to sing with the "gypsies" learning the songs in their native Catalan.Once back in the States, Cynthia returned to jazz singing. In this direction, shereleased her first solo CD, Meant To Be Blue, produced by Grammy-winning producer Elliot Scheiner. La musique française Cynthia has also reignited her passion for French music. Creating the concept Bistro Blue, she has released a CD by the same name, in collaboration with producer Jeff Eyrich of Dave's True Story. Licensing contracts for the CD have been signed for Singapore, Taiwan, Japan and Australia, Hong Kong and China! Sales are going strong in the Southeast Asian territories.
