Anders is a 24 year-old recording artist who is born and raised in the city of Toronto. While Anders’ blend of moody R&B and hip hop serves as a soundtrack of sorts to the post-Drake/Weeknd Toronto streets, in the 24 months since the release of his 2nd EP, Twos, Ander’s shadow now casts far beyond the edges of his hometown. The living, breathing embodiment of his NST – or, no small talk – brand, the 24 year old singer/songwriter has been successful by force of sheer talent and good taste, in stark contrast to his clout-chasing peers. He eschews press, yet still gets coverage from Complex, Hypebeast and Noisey, among others. He’s unsigned and proudly independent, yet has earned over 200m on-demand streams across all platforms. He’s never toured, but still sells out one-off shows, reflexively. This winter, Anders returned with the single “Don’t Play”, which generated 1M+ streams in the first month of release and features production from Wondagurl and a complementary music video directed by Christo and Gerard of Kid.
