Born and bred in Singapore, singer-songwriter Reuby has since young been passionate about music – heavily influenced by his mother, a piano teacher. He is adept at both the piano and guitar, the latter of which was self-taught. His debut single “My Sunshine” was released in 2014 when he was only 18 and reached the top of iTunes chart for 2 consecutive weeks. His songs “The Key To Her Heart” and “Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That” became popular in Asia when they were featured in the Korean hit drama “SPY”. His self-titled first album included 9 self-penned tracks, and an interpretation of the classic hymn “As The Deer”. In 2015, Reuby represented Singapore in the Hong Kong Asian Pop Music Festival, winning the Popularity Award, marking Singapore’s first win at the annual regional song contest. In 2016, Reuby released a blues-infected acoustic track “Legendary”, dedicated to the memory of Singapore's founding father, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew. He was picked to perform at the prestigious SG50 concert, in front of a 45,000 strong audience.
