Songbird Thembeka Mnguni, is a multi-talented artist who is professionally known as Thembeka Mnguni. She was born in Bizana and was raised in Durban. Mnguni is a mother to a son who is 5 years old. According to the artist, her son is her inspiration for the music. The talented singer considers herself to be a ‘Diva’ by profession through her music and chose to represent all the Divas who are startled to take a chance in their life. Thembeka Mnguni Biography & Debut Thembeka Mnguni earlier served as a recruitment specialist in the corporate world before she entered The Voice SA. She toured the world with theatre impresario Pieter Toerien's productions of the musicals Grease and High School Musical. Thembeka Mnguni eternally knew that she wanted to be a musician, having entered Idols SA twice and then X-Factor but got disappointed by not progressing further in both competitions, because of that she felt that The Voice SA was her very last attempt for pursuing her musical ambitions. Thankfully her fellow friend who did much persuasion to her, and Thembeka Mnguni decided to go and try it out one last time. She says that she did not want to enter purely as she was scared of being rejected again. But due to her music, she excelled under the mentorship of coach Karen Zoid who backed her while she was reached the Top 8 Finalist list! As per the artist, she was so glad that she took that chance again and made it to the finals. Her musical talent spoke for herself and got her a contract with the record label Universal Music. The artist wishes to bring RnB soul music to South Africa as the likes of Aretha Franklin, Jennifer Hudson, Tina Turner and like our very own, now deceased, TK as the audience of South African has an amazing ear for good music and the audience is ready for that and she will give it to them with pleasure.
