Mulan Jameela

by Chris True An Indonesian pop singer, Mulan Jameela (aka Mulan Kwok) first got her start as part of the popular duo Ratu, alongside Maia Ahmad in 2005. After a couple of successful years together, internal tensions tore the duo apart, and Jameela ventured into a solo career. Changing management, Jameela landed a deal with EMI, and released her debut self-titled full-length in 2007. Singles "Makhluk Tuhan Paling Sexy" and "Wonder Woman" both peaked at number one on the Indonesian charts, helping Mulan Jameela attain platinum status for the artist in her home nation.
