SOPHY 王嘉仪 与Dizparity 因台湾独立电子音乐厂牌Dark Paradise 结识，曾多次在现场演出中相遇，包括 2018年 TTN香港现场演出、2020年 女巫店专场 及 《残眼》视听演出 等等，彼此的合作默契也随之加深。
2020年，Dizparity重新编曲SOPHY王嘉仪的单曲《厌世脸》，将其从R&B转化为DnB与Afrobeat风格的强烈律动作品，并获得广泛好评。这次合作不仅拓展了双方的音乐风格，也奠定了两人组成乐团、共同探索电子舞曲新可能性的契机。

专辑名称灵感来自王家卫的电影《春光乍泄》，其浪漫主义、异乡情怀与情感流动的主题成为专辑的创作基础。《春光》试图透过电子舞曲捕捉这些情感波动，刻画城市夜晚的暧昧氛围与短暂的热烈瞬间。

Sophy Wong and Dizparity first crossed paths through the independent electronic music label Dark Paradise in Taiwan.
