For the first time ever, Velvet Aduk presents a full-length album in her native Dusun language—a deeply personal project made up of 9 original songs, most of which she wrote herself. Produced by Velvet and co-produced by Brandon Laurie, this album is a heartfelt tribute to her roots, her identity, and the language that shaped her. From soulful melodies to rhythmic storytelling, each track reflects her journey, pride, and love for her culture. The album also features a special duet with fellow Sabahan artist, Arddley Nicholas, adding another layer of depth to this meaningful release. Scheduled for release in May, the album is Velvet’s offering to her community during the Kaamatan (Harvest Festival)—a time when the Kadazandusun people come together to celebrate life, gratitude, and tradition. This is more than music. This is home.
