At the age of 12, Ryan was walking home from school and found an old guitar that someone had left by their trash. He instinctively rescued the guitar and took it to the local music shop to have it restrung. Over the next few years Ryan taught himself to play and write songs on that guitar and credits the somewhat damaged instrument for introducing him to his lifes passion.
