Twas the Night Before Christmas Lyrics
Twas the Night Before Christmas - Log Fire Melodies
Written by:Moore Clement/Webb Alliene Brandon
It was the night before Christmas
When all through the house
Not a creature was stirring
Not even a mouse
The stockings were hung
By the chimney with care
In hopes that St. Nicholas
Soon would be there
When what to my wandering eyes
Should appear
But a miniature sleigh
And eight tiny reindeer
With a little ol' driver
So lively and quick
I knew in a moment
It must be St. Nick
More rapid than eagles
His ideas all came
As he whistled and shouted
And called them by name
And so up to the housetop
The rain dear soon flew
With a sleigh full of toys
And St. Nicholas too
Down the chimney
He came with a leaf and a bound
He was dressed all in fur
And his barely was round
He spoke not a word
But went straight to his work
And filled all the stockings
Then turned with a jerk
An' laying his finger
A side his nose
Then giving a nod
Up the chimney he rose
But I heard him exclaim
As he drove out of sight
Merry Christmas to all
And to all a goodnight
And I heard him exclaim
As he drove out of sight
Merry Christmas to all
And to all a goodnight
