2013年的暑假，分属不同学校和乐团的四个人－主唱游景棠、吉他手曾翊维、吉他手黄国晏以及鼓手顾典晋，为了参加各大专院校的音乐比赛而凑在一起。 2014年九月，共同完成了第一首创作－《我爱的台北》同时决定以木眼镜这名字，迈向乐团的下一个阶段，也期许能够唱出这个世代的心声。
