251 FollowersQ-Tip是众所周知的东海岸另类说唱团体a tribe called quest中的重要一员，曾经为old school hip hop著名团体run dmc担任制作人，也曾为众多明星跨刀演出（mariah carey,beastie boys,janet jackson等）a tribe called quest解体以后，他开始着重于个人的发展。Q-Tip在2002年与东家Arista Records唱片公司闹翻，歌唱事业面临瓶颈，将近一年没有曝光。2008年，Q-Tip发行了他的最新专辑《The Renaissance》。
