McBeth

McBeth is about two opposites living in harmony with one another. Themes such as strength and vulnerability embodied together can be seen in their music, videos, and art. Their music as a whole encapsulates all of the opposing emotions of deep love and the struggles to find understanding.   McAyla Beatley and Beth Martin lead this pop group with a vibrant album, a dynamic live show, and impressive videos.   Beth: Hi, I’m Beth. I love being carefree. Some of the times I feel most carefree are when I’m in my car listening to music with the windows down. I love music festivals, flower headbands, and my favorite decade is the 80’s. A lot of my favorite movies and shows are from the 80’s and even some of my fashion is 80’s inspired. I like black and gold things and have an obsession with studs and velvet. I really aspire to have a different style. I love food and I think one day it would be cool to open a gourmet restaurant with a twist. My best friend is my partner, McAyla. We are the best at making awkward conversations happen.I am forever fascinated by words and how the different combinations of 26 letters can have infinite amounts of meaning. I love to read. You can typically find me roaming antique bookstores and thrift shops around the city. I love to explore new things and to people watch. I think people are the most interesting things on the planet. I’m intrigued by the human mind and how it works. I don’t believe anyone was meant to be completely understood. I think about souls a lot, and what part they play in our lives and relationships.   I am somewhat of an introvert and spend more of my time staring out the window, thinking of what I could be experiencing and contemplating the details of life. This is where my music comes into play, I want to make songs about my experiences so that people are able to relate.   I used to think that I had to hide the things in me that made me different. Then I came to realize that those were the best traits about me. I think the most important quality a person can have is originality. What draws us to certain people are the things only they do that make them, them. I think everybody is weird, embrace and love yourself.   McAyla: Hi, I’m McAyla. My first love and passion is music.  Some of my favorite things are beaches, summer, mac’n’cheese, traveling to new places, and meeting new people.  I am so thankful for the opportunities and challenges that I have been blessed with throughout my crazy life.  I wouldn’t trade it for anything.I love my family and I’m so thankful for their constant support.  My mom is the best encourager, my dad is one of my best friends, and I couldn’t ask for a better little sister.  My friends mean more to me than anything.  I don’t think I could survive without them.  The fact that I have their support is so reassuring.  I have the unfortunate tendency to be very awkward at times.  The fact that my best friend is also very awkward has resulted in a collection of extremely embarrassing and hilarious stories.  Laughing is our forte.  I was born and raised in the country, after which I moved to the city.  It was a drastic change but I have learned to appreciate both places.November 28th was probably the best day of my life because that is when Beth and I finally got “discovered”.  Our dream, since we were little, has been to become singers.  Both of us just always knew in our hearts that someday we would.  I love my team so much.  It makes a world of difference to be surrounded by people who are always encouraging us and helping us be the best we can be.  We have become a little family now and I wouldn’t have it any other way.   I think a lot about how my life would be so incredibly different if Beth and I hadn’t been given this amazing opportunity.  I would probably be preparing to go to college to study something that doesn’t interest me at all.  Instead, I am living my dream with my best friend and spending an enormous amount of time and energy on what I am most passionate about.  You know how they say “your best years are in high school”?  Well, I think my best years are just beginning.
