76 FollowersEels是一支英伦乐队，要找准他们的位置不太容易，他们跟主流音乐有较大的距离，但是也没有走到另类的群落中（有时候另类只是另一种主流）。虽然两头都不靠，却也并不中庸。说是边缘比较恰当。 Eels由三个成员组成，九十年代初年出道时很毛头也很刺头，现在的专辑跟以前出的已经有很大不同，用他们自己的词来说现在是叫Mr Uncle(叔叔)了。乐队的名字很难用中文翻译，这是他们用名字玩的文字游戏，特别是对字母E的迷恋。国内没一个翻对了的（可能翻对吗？）有的译作滑头，有的译作鳗鱼。（文字作为一种符号，有暗示的作用，不准确的译名有时会很要命。）Eels主要借助的还是吉他，摇滚，电子和主唱弹簧片的嗓音。不过这不是全部。Eels跟别的乐队相比有着非常不同的气质。
