Kid Cali
Born in 1991 and raised along I-75 Ohio, finally settling in Piqua, Ohio, Cali Kid Dubz first got into music at the age of 17 with a group of friends. After putting out a few demos for fun, music/marketing company Dream Famous recognized the potential Cali possessed and decided to take him under their wing. Within six months, Cali Kid Dubz released his first mixtape, Welcome 2 Cali(6/7/11), and continued to build a strong fan base in the Ohio area. In a few short months, Cali earned Runner Up for Best New Artist in the 2011 Ohio Hip Hop Awards, a nomination for Power 107.5’s Columbus’ Best Artist of 2011, and was featured in the Dayton Daily News best local CD releases of 2011.
