Don Grolnick 1947年9月23日出生在美过纽约，也许大多数的乐迷会以为他弹奏较多的爵士融合乐，也可能有的人根本不知道有此人的存在。其实他是一位很好的爵士钢琴家、作曲与编曲家，甚至还是流行专辑的幕后制作人，更参与了不少位当今重要之爵士乐手的专辑演奏。只是可惜的，他在不久以前已经过世了，爵士乐坛又少了一位精英。
