Absence of Despair

Absence of Despair is a five piece Metal band from Providence, Rhode Island, who have their own distinct sound and style of “Metal”. They have many influences ranging from Rap, Hardcore, Country, Blues, Metal, and many more. They have a distinct style of their own, yet each song sounds completely different. Each member of the band has a very strong passion for music, and has that rare spark that drives them all to write their best and perform their best. The band formed in April of 2008, with four core members. Cody Laflamme on lead vocals, Tyler Caruso on Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals, Billy Achille on Drums/Backing Vocals, Mike Demers on Bass and Brian Moulton on Rhythm Guitar. Local promoters/ promoting companies have commented on how AOD always brings in a good sized crowd of people out to their shows and that they are very tight and entertaining live. Absence of Despair is extremely driven, determined and passionate to make this into their full time music career. AOD will stop at nothing to further their career as musicians
