521 Followers十四岁即因赢得歌唱比赛而成为儿童节目的常驻歌手，来自曼彻斯特的Lisa十八岁时便以Blue Zone乐团主唱的身份展开职业演唱生涯。1989年她加盟Arista唱片并发表首张个人专辑[Affection],辑中单曲[All Around The World]不仅在英美两地分别夺下流行与节奏蓝调榜冠军，更获得全英音乐奖最佳新人奖并提名葛莱美奖。1991年她以乘胜追击的[Real Love]专辑拿下全英音乐奖最佳女歌手大奖，总计上述两张专辑至今已为她写下近九百万张的惊人销售数字。在1993年的好评大碟[So Natural]后，Lisa迟至1997年才发表第四张同名专辑，而1999年她则是首度跨行电影界，在浪漫喜剧[Swing]中饰演一位摇摆乐团的女主唱，自然的演技深获肯定。
