Glenn Miller
91 Followers米勒1904年3月1日出生于衣阿华州的Clarinda地方。1925年时就加入了Ben Pollack的乐队。第一次进录音棚是1926年。后来他辗转演奏于班尼古德曼Benny Goodman，道尔西兄弟Dorsey Brothers，雷诺布尔Ray Noble等着名跳舞乐队间，并为格伦格雷Glen Grey乐队编曲。1937年时组成自己的乐队，成绩不佳。1938年时开始成功，到了1939年就益发不可收拾。他那四萨克管，四黑管的编制奏出了形成标志的风格，也奏出了他事业的顶端。他将爵士乐的激情和大型乐队的豪华丰盛完美地给合起来，一句话，这就是格兰米勒之声。他本人是吹拉管的。但作为拉管独奏演员，他顶多只能在爵士乐史料中占个注脚的地位罢了。
