1.1k Followers过去十年来最受欢迎的跨界爵士乐（Crossover Jazz）演奏团体，说是爵士四人行，他们应该当之无愧。1991年乐团成立，由钢琴手Bob James当任团长，目前的成员包括了吉他手Larry Carlton、鼓手Harvey Mason以及贝斯手Nathan East。至于，曾经是创始团员的吉他手Lee Ritenour，在1998年乐团录制《4》这张专辑时，因为无法兼顾自己创办的i.e. Music唱片公司而离开，改由Larry Carlton入替。 首张专辑《Fourplay》在告示牌（Billboard）当代爵士排行榜上，创下连续33周蝉连排行榜冠军的辉煌纪录。1993年的专辑《Between The Sheets》除勇夺排行冠军之外，同年也荣获葛莱美奖提名。
