Iklim

Formed in 1989, Iklim is a popular Malaysian rock band which debuted with the album, Satu Kesan Abadi in 1990. Their debut single “Suci Dalam Debu” became a platinum hit and was much loved by the audiences. In 1991, the Iklim band was acknowledged with the “Triple Cakera Platinum Award”. Since then, the band never looked back, Iklim released many singles and albums and further went to receive several awards. In 1993, their album Dunia Iklim Collection was awarded The First Album Music Industry Award and the Best Vocal Group. Their single “Suci Dalam Debu '' was recognized with the Song Champion Award for the best lyrics in 1995. Iklim - Award-Winning Pop Music and Hard Rock Band The band was founded by the singers AM Salim Abdul Majeed, or Saleem-Iklim and friends & young villagers in 1988. Before becoming famous, the Iklim Band gave performances at several clubs and ceremonies around the state. Initially, the Iklim band comprised of five members AM Saleem Abdul Majid, Mohd Salim, Suhaimi Kamaruddin, Umarul Mahdzar, and Fadhil. Currently, the band consists of guitarist Umarul, Mohalim – bass, Kama – drums and Huzali – board tone. The band went on to win awards like Anugerah Juara Lagu in 1990, Anugerah Cakera Platinum Berkembar Tiga in 1991, Anugerah Industri Muzik Pertama in 1993 and the same year they won Anugerah Industri Muzik Pertama as well for Dunia Iklim album. Iklim gained huge popularity for their songs such as "Hakikat Sebuah Cinta", "Satu Kesan Abadi", "Seribu Penghargaan", "Sandiwara Cinta Semusim Ammarah Bujang Kota" and many more. Over the years, Iklim has recorded songs with multiple prestigious record companies like Rock Records (M) Sdn Bhd, Rock Record, and Warner Music Malaysia. Some of their most popular songs include PHD-Bs, Pergimu Satu Tanda, Satu Irama, Kembali, Biarlah, Zapin Terbilang, Jangan Komplen, and many more.
