SOPHY 王嘉仪 与Dizparity 因台湾独立电子音乐厂牌Dark Paradise 结识，曾多次在现场演出中相遇，包括 2018年 TTN香港现场演出、2020年 女巫店专场 及 《残眼》视听演出 等等，彼此的合作默契也随之加深。
2020年，Dizparity重新编曲SOPHY王嘉仪的单曲《厌世脸》，将其从R&B转化为DnB与Afrobeat风格的强烈律动作品，并获得广泛好评。这次合作不仅拓展了双方的音乐风格，也奠定了两人组成乐团、共同探索电子舞曲新可能性的契机。

专辑名称灵感来自王家卫的电影《春光乍泄》，其浪漫主义、异乡情怀与情感流动的主题成为专辑的创作基础。《春光》试图透过电子舞曲捕捉这些情感波动，刻画城市夜晚的暧昧氛围与短暂的热烈瞬间。

Sophy Wong and Dizparity first crossed paths through the independent electronic music label Dark Paradise in Taiwan. Their creative synergy was evident from multiple live performances together, including the 2018 live showcase in TTN Hong Kong, Sophy’s Witch House performance in Taipei in 2020; and her "HARSH EYE" audiovisual show at B1 Taipei.
