【Shanghai Was Lit】创作由来 Dizzy Dizzo以写歌来记录并传达对生活的热情与感受，拥有1/4的俄罗斯血统，外公是俄罗斯人、外婆是上海人、爸爸则是广东人。虽然她在澳洲出生、长大，但在母亲的管教之下，她仍保有许多东方思维、习惯。 Dizzy总共会说三种不同的方言，包括：普通话、上海话以及广东话，高中时曾在上海就读美国学校，她提到：「很多人知道我的成长背景后，都会问我，那你的家到底在哪里？但我认为，心在哪里，家就在哪里。我在雪梨出生，上海念书，到台北工作，但我认为这3个地方都是我的家，我根本不需要只挑一个地方称为家，只要我的心属于这些地方，这些地方就都算是我的家！而上海是让我受到完整中式教育、并开始让我找回中华文化的地方，所以上海对我来说更是意义非凡。」 2017年，为了筹备新单曲【Shanghai Was Lit】，Dizzy Dizzo在新加坡待了两周，与新加坡金牌制作人FlightSch一起创作音乐，在听了充满魔丽的暗黑节奏后，他们决定要共同制作一首以「上海」为雏形的歌曲，Dizzy甚至将上海话「”侬勒做啥” 你在干什么呢(意指Wassup)」写进歌词里，曲风巧妙的结合了中西方风格，Dizzy Dizzo想以中西合并的嘻哈曲风，将上海独有的东西合并魅力发扬光大。
