This is the first lead single and title song from the brand new solo album, 'INSOMNIA' which will be released on August 22nd, by Takahiro Kido, a member of the cinematic instrumental music band, Anoice, and also the prolific songwriter for movie and TV drama soundtracks, commercial adverts and events.

This single is a neoclassical song featuring heavy and spectacular layered soundscapes formed by string instruments; violins, violas, and cellos, which expresses the mentality of people who are living in the current information society evolving more and more, and also a suitable song as the title song of the album. The majority of the plot of the single and the bass sounds were finished whilst he was staying in the Czech Republic in 2024, and the sounds he recorded there such as hurdy gurdy, his heartbeat and the clock hands and bells which kept time, played a big role.

In addition, his bandmate in Anoice, Yuki Murata, directed the music video for this single, which is a continuation from 'kill lies all', the lead single of Anoice's latest album 'Stories in White', and she described Takahiro Kid's feelings towards this song at the beginning of the video as below.

"Artists creating their new work by using artificial intelligence may seem to be abandoning their own uniqueness and creativity, but in a sense, it could be said that this is one of the best tools for expressing the weakness of the human species gravitating towards technology. Now, we are hovering between dreams and reality."

mizu amane

The sound which appears and then vanishes like a reincarnation.

This is the 8th single from Mizu Amane, a side project of Films, a dark fantasy music project formed by the instrumental band Anoice, featuring their cinematic sound alongside two female vocalists with the same name. While Films' songs are sung with their own originally created languages, Mizu Amane features Japanese archaic languages which are no longer spoken.

Just like the previous works from Films and Mizu Amane, Anoice's members took charge of all the production, from composing and recording, to mixing and mastering. This song features not only an emotional piano played by Yuki Murata from, but also one of Japanese traditional instruments, Koto played by Takahiro Kido and Japanese original percussions by Tadashi Yoshikawa. All three are also members of Anoice and play a big role for expressing the mystical sound of Mizu Amane.

This is a fleetingly beautiful song where the short vocal melodies repeat over and over again whilst gradually changing like the sparkle of life.

This album 'Live in Tokyo 2025' is a recording of the entire live performance which was held in Tokyo by Anoice, an instrumental music band featuring a cinematic sound.

This live show was the first since Anoice released their latest album, 'Stories in White', and you can feel the destructive beautiful soundscape through their magnificent orchestral sound and stunning noises, which do not seem that they were created with only four members. The set list were selected thoroughly from all the seven albums from the first album 'Remmings' to the latest album 'Stories in White', and it consists of beautiful songs with a tension that is Anoice's unique within the world, created by a contrast of the silence and roaring sound; from neo-classical songs with a solemn and quiet atmosphere, such as 'liange' and 'all is white', to instrumental rock songs featuring a distorted guitar and intense drums such as 'kill lies all' and 'finale'.

This album 'Stories in White' is the final chapter of the trilogy about the modern history of humans, which follows up the band's third album, 'The Black Rain' which made themselves known to the world through their dark cinematic sound, and fifth album, 'Ghost in the Clocks', which the album itself and each song within the album became the #1 and top 10 most streamed/downloaded instrumental music on Apple Music and iTunes Store in over 20 countries. It could be said that Anoice's culmination of their entire career was built by the beautiful soundscape of the magnificent orchestra-like sound and destructive noise. Just like the previous works from Films and Mizu Amane, Anoice's members took charge of all the production, from composing and recording to mixing and mastering. The sound tapestry braided by the lovely sound of the piano, played by Anoice member, Yuki Murata, and the nostalgic vocal melodies sung by Films, is the world of Mizu Amane.

Mizu Amane also created the synthesizer sounds which imitate Japanese traditional instruments such as Shou, Tsuzumi, and Ekiro, using them to form some of the sounds of this release. The mystical sound of the Shou is a particularly notable feature of this song. This is a masterpiece allowing the listeners to feel a sense of eternity, which is best listened to on a gentle spring day.
