金曲最佳演唱组合 CNCS 睽违两年全新创作专辑 05/31 全球数位发行 06/30 实体专辑正式发行 - 如果真要得到一个答案，那么问题就是自己本身。于是他们用创作和自己对话：『先这样！90 天后再来找我吧！』 Chick en Chicks 不改过往幽默，大玩谐音，将专辑名称定为《call me 90》：因为我们 90 天后，一定会找到答案！第二张专辑采取更像两人对话的方式进行创作，所有的制作配器在自由创作的时候已经保留在demo 里头，包含所有的合成器 bass 及键盘乐器，都是以 live 弹奏方式编排。有别于制作后期常见的 dubbing 编曲手法，刻意保留创作时当下的演奏内容。也花更多时间在人声编排，有别于第一张的独特唱腔，这次可以感受到主唱 Kartina 在人声制作上的层次编排更为内敛。从金曲奖31宣布入围的那一刻，早已打乱了Chick en Chicks的计划『我们没有想过可以在 90 天做好一张专辑』从第一张专辑《作弊人生》到《call me 90》，这段时间 Chick en Chicks 经历了第31届金曲奖的肯定，不论在制作想法上或者演出设定上，团员小鸡与Kartina两人长期互相探索彼此合适的那一块，没有太多的包袱，也没有太多规则上的束缚，独具一格的风格让 Chick en Chicks 受到金曲的肯定也入围了同年度金音奖。在得奖后却迎来了疫情肆虐，大环境影响了每个人的生活，也搅乱了 Chick en Chicks 的音乐计划。那一刻，全世界彷彿被按下暂停键，当任何想法跟理想都无法付诸行动时，要如何保持热情跟动力呢？而金曲奖最佳演唱组合的那个部分，又带给他们什么样的自我反思呢？但问题来了！做得完吗？做得到吗？『我们要改变吗？我们要做一点不一样的东西吗？』直到预计发行日的最后 90 天才发现困住他们的并不是环境，而是自己，最大的问题在于如何打破自己的过往框架，并且保持音乐创作上的初心呢？这需要时间消化：在这浓缩成 90 天的制作期当中，不论是音乐创作的瓶颈，还是对于是面对合作团队的压力，都把两人压得喘不过气来，好不容易找到答案后又开始自我反思，在这之前，他们都没有这样的经验。而寻找问题答案之时，更多时候是给自己合理化的一个借口。在完成专辑之时，他们意识到，在认识自己之前，你必须好好地与自己对话，也同样地推荐给正在被困住的你，并建议搭配服用《call me 90》使用：拥抱恐惧，拥抱自己，call me in 90 days, you have 90 days only. It's been 2 years since Chick en Chicks' released their debut album, having to live through this pandemic has been daunting and caused disruptions to their plans. Maybe it wasn't just the pandemic that's causing them problems...? Not only did they realize they were physically trapped by this epidemic and lockdowns but their own thoughts. During this time, they've been searching for answers, the answers they've been searching for since they earned their recognition from the Golden Melody Awards. Until 90 days ago, they finally felt they've settled with all those insecurities and drew to a conclusion with their self-reflection: embrace your fear, embrace yourself.
