End Of An Era以一张DVD和两张音频CD的套装发行，2006年6月1日在芬兰本土发行，2日在德国上市，随后才在全球其他地区上市。仅仅上市一天，专辑在芬兰本土便取得金牌销量。 DVD取材于Nightwish在专辑《Once》发行后的世界巡回的最后一场演唱会，即2005年10月21日在芬兰赫尔辛基的Hartwall Areena大厅的现场，由大名鼎鼎的Nuclear Blast录制，音频CD包括了演唱会除了Red Warrior (Intro)和All of Them (Outro)的所有歌曲。乐队作品叫卖当然值得高兴，但这就是Tarja作为乐队主唱时期Nightwish的最后作品了，不免有些感伤和遗憾，不过既然是Tarja自己的选择，我们只好祝愿她了，也继续支持Nightwish，说实话A姐也还是不错的。
