I’ve been traveling

For as long as I remember

I’ve been moving

And I miss so many holidays at home

Spent last Christmas in an airport bar alone

But this year

I haven’t moved since early April

I’ve just been here

Observing words and thoughts until they disappear

I’m so road sick darling I would meet you anywhere

It used to be that there was nowhere I’d rather stay

But today

I wish I was anywhere

But home for the holidays

Snow’s been falling here

I’d trade your plastic Rudolph for an ice cold beer

Off the coast of Santa Clara

I need to get out of here

I wish I was anywhere

I wish that all the roses were blooming

I wish we all had somebody to love

I wish we would open our eyes

And march arm in arm

I wish you peace
