In the beginning it's possible

To imagine there's a final victory

But as the tension gets every more

And darkness falls you won't carry me

Then life takes me under and spits me out at it's feet

Well you promised a victory

But here in defeat the line is hard to see

One after the other the soldiers are falling

Another buried memory

And we can not take cover

It blows right up in glory

We learn to fight these enemies

As we're walking unsteadily

We fall beneath the rocks we didn't sight

But as ever it's teaching me

To lift my feet above them all next time

But eventually the battle will subside
