英國器樂後搖團。 萊斯特城（Leicester），典型的英格蘭內陸工業城市。常年灰沉的天空，連綿的陰雨，略顯拘謹的古老房屋和狹窄的石頭街道，壓抑的空氣讓人透不過氣來。閒暇之時，除了去酒吧裏開懷暢飲，還真是沒有比呆在家裏更好的選擇。就這樣，幾個年輕人泡在卧室裏看電視，研究電影，然後從中汲取營養搗鼓音樂。其結果，就是Maybeshewill的誕生。 幾經興衰的後搖滾（Post-R ock）發展到今天，顛覆性和包容性是其前進的動力。Maybe she will對傳統後搖滾冗長篇幅的放棄和對電子元素的拿捏雖非首創但也絕對具有藝術革新性。同時作為純器樂樂隊，其天生就有缺少主唱的短板，因此沒有人聲的音樂往往在旋律上下大功夫，善於渲染氣氛培養感情，很容易給個人思緒提供翻騰的空間。但樂隊並不滿足於此：他們把電影和電視對白的採樣發揮到了極致，用一種獨特的人聲運用方式賦予音樂極強的畫面感，以此來突出樂曲的主題並宣揚其社會和政治主張。 樂隊在2006年初在自己的唱片公司Robot Needs Home發行了一張四首歌的EP ‘Japanese Spy Transcript’,很快他們被日本唱片公司XTAL看中，並在同年發行了加長版的專輯。 Nottingham’s Field在2008年為樂隊發行了首張樂隊自己錄音的專輯 ‘Not For Want Of Trying‘,受到了英國以及歐洲各大媒體雜誌的廣泛關注。這時樂隊和他們的好朋友Fight Fire With Water,Worriedaboutsatan一起上路，並加緊時間趕製他們的第二張專輯。 2009年的‘Sing The Word Hope In Four-Part Harmony‘為樂隊帶來了更大的讚譽。他們進行了六個月高強度的巡演，現場也更加狂躁和不拘一格。他們受到了更廣闊範圍的喜愛，甚至波及到了日本和俄羅斯。 在經歷了2010年一年的沉寂後，Mayshewill發行了單曲 single ‘To The Skies From A Hillside‘,在整個歐洲的巡演中，門票都銷售一空。2011年的三月，第三張完整的錄音室專輯‘I was here for a moment, then I was gone‘在英國橫空出世。 Maybeshewill are an instrumental rock band from Leicester, United Kingdom whose music is characterised by the use of programmed electronic elements alongside more traditional 'rock' instrumentation. From their inception the band have been recognised for their use of monologues and film samples as well as references to popular culture in their song titles. The musicians which make up Maybeshewill have changed a number of times, with only guitarists Robin Southby and John Helps appearing on every release. However, current drummer James Collins has been with the band since their first tour. This revolving door of musicians was the inspiration behind the title of their debut LP Not For Want Of Trying. According to press releases, the name Maybeshewill is simply a string of pleasant sounding syllables which have no intrinsic meaning - hence it is being spelt as a single word without spaces.
