Daimy Lotus

Daimy Lotus werd in 1996 in Eindhoven geboren en was van jongs af aan al bezig met muziek. Dit bleef niet onopgemerkt. Op haar 14e gaf haar moeder haar op voor Popstars. Ze kwam met gemak door de vele rondes heen en behoorde uiteindelijk tot de laatste 15 deelnemers van de 11.000. De jury vond haar nog te jong voor een popster, maar stimuleerde haar om door te gaan met het ontwikkelen van haar talent. Ondertussen timmert Daimy hard aan de weg. Zo zingt en schrijft ze haar eigen muziek waarbij ze zich laat inspireren door nieuwe soul, R&B en elektronische muziek. Ook werkt Daimy nauw samen met verschillende artiesten en producers als Tienus (Pelican Productions), Nico Brandsen, Ton Dijkman en Rupert Blackman. Vanaf september 2014 is Daimy gekoppeld aan DEPT. Haar nummers zijn te horen in de nieuwe seizoenscommercials van het kledingmerk. Ze treed momenteel veel op, onder andere via HKconcecerten, en ze heeft oktober 2014 haar eerste single 'Saturday Girl' uitgebracht. Deze werd flink gesupport door o.a. 3fm-DJ's Rob Stenders en Sander Hoogendoorn. She used to love music since she was a kid and this didn’t stay unnoticed. At the age of 14 her mother signed her op for the talentshow Popstars. With ease she got through the many rounds and ended up with the last 15 of 11.000 participants. The judges claimed that she was too young to become a popstar, but encouraged her to continue developing her talent. In the meantime, Daimy is working hard on her singing career. She sings and writes her own songs, influenced by new soul, R&B and electronic music. Daimy also works together with various artists and producers such as Tienus (Pelican Productions), Nico Brandsen, Ton Dijkman and Rupert Blackman. Since September 2014, Daimy has been connected to DEPT. Her songs are being used in the new seasonal commercials from the clothing brand. She has a lot of gigs at the moment, among others via HKconcerts, and in October 2014 Daimy released her first single 'Saturday Girl'. A lot of DJ's from the Dutch radiostation 3FM, especially Rob Stenders and Sander Hoogendoorn, supported Daimy's single.
