Concerto Cologne

Ensemble founded in 1985 in Cologne, Germany. They play mostly the orchestral and operatic repertory of the 17th and 18th centuries, aiming to observe the historical rules of performance. Although the ensemble often operates without a conductor (the ensemble's leader or concertmaster being the violinist Werner Ehrhardt), they often invite guest conductors.
