BE TRANSPORTED FROM YOUR LIVING ROOM TO IBIZA Jacky Croad has been an Ibiza resident for the past ten years. She is the founder of ‘Ibiza Pilates’, one of the island’s leading Pilates studios. Jacky’s musical roots stem from a childhood surrounded by live music as a large portion of her immediate family were accomplished Jazz musicians. It was this love of live music, Latin Jazz and Balearic sounds in particular, that played a part in Jacky moving to Ibiza. Over the year’s Jacky has been increasingly frustrated to see the true Balearic beats slowly fade away and make room for more commercial releases. Jacky decided it was time to rejuvenate the music of the island that drew her here in the first place. One of a very small number of female music creators encompassing the Balearic sound, Jacky decided it was time for her to create and release her own album. ‘Ibiza Chilled’ is the result of nine fun-filled months where she has cleverly drawn in her influences of Latin Jazz and the true spirit of the island. Uplifting, and relaxing, whilst still maintaining the energy and vibrance of the Balearics. Stepping away from electronic sampling, it is a true instrumental showcase of the sound the island has started to lose. Each track is cleverly crafted with a consistent tempo, equally suited to white sanded beach bars, your Pilates or exercise studio, or your front room. Jacky has made this standout album with both passion and dedication. It is a true reflection of her experience and creativity within both the music and wellness industries.
