Bugle

Roy "Bugle" Thompson, born on January 30, 1982, in Portland, Jamaica, is a renowned reggae and dancehall artist known for his soulful voice and conscious lyrics. He grew up in Kingston, Jamaica, where he was introduced to music at an early age by his late brother. In 2000, Bugle's professional journey began when he met dancehall artist Elephant Man. This collaboration led to Bugle writing songs for Elephant Man and joining him on the "Good to Go" tour in 2002, which included appearances on BET's 106 & Park and the MTV Awards in Japan. ​ In 2007, Bugle teamed up with the DASECA Production team, marking a significant turning point in his career. His debut hit single, "Exercise (What I'm Gonna Do)," topped charts in Jamaica, New York, South Florida, and other Caribbean countries. Subsequent hits like "Doh" featuring Serani, "Love Reigns" with Tarrus Riley, "What Have I Done to You," "Journey," and "Pearly Gates" solidified his presence in the reggae scene. ​ Bugle's discography includes critically acclaimed albums such as 'Anointed' (2007), 'Music My Way,' 'Picture Perfect' (2019), and 'Toxicity' (2021). His music often addresses social issues, promoting messages of resilience, love, and unity. He has performed at major reggae festivals, including Jamaica's Reggae Sumfest and Sting, and has toured Japan, the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean. In 2024 his album «Apex» climbed to the top #2 Reggae charts worldwide
