Sheena Bailie

Sheena Bailie was raised in Kelowna, a small city in Western Canada. Her passion for singing all started at the age of 13 when she co-wrote a song with a friend. From there on, she knew creating and writing music was very much a huge part of her. At 13 Sheena got into modelling and acting. Going into these 2 fields was very enjoyable and she even earned two academic awards for acting as a result. When she was 15 she was approached by a vocal coach from Vancouver while working at a local grocery store. They had a great conversation and through discussion came up with a plan that involved Sheena setting up workshops at a high school that allowed for the vocal coach to come up frequently and in turn she would get further training on her voice. Within these workshops voice and stage performance were the primary focus. Being on stage gave Sheena excitement and it was then that she knew that this was what she was meant to do. Performing and singing for Sheena is where she felt most comfortable and most passionate. Sheena continued down the path of developing her stage and vocal performance. With her mom and the help of an additional vocal coach, they developed the workshops into a school and put on musicals for local audiences. This allowed Sheena to incorporate her vocal performance, stage presence, acting and dance choreography. At the age of 16 Sheena wrote and recorded her first song “Say.” From there she performed at many local events including a local Star Search where she placed in the top 10 earning her a spot in the opening act for a Reba McEntire concert. At 17 she participated in the BC division Miss Canada pageant in Vancouver which gave her further experience in speaking and performing in front of a large audience. After continuing the musicals and performances, while these experiences brought Sheena a lot of joy and excitement, she knew there was more she wanted to do. She researched online to seek out opportunities to meet contacts and work with people in the industry on a bigger scale. She discovered a convention being held in Orlando called “Fashion Rock” which brought together people from various fields in the entertainment industry and provided an opportunity where people could network and meet contacts within the industry. This convention provided Sheena with contacts that led to travel to LA four different times to further network and meet with people in the music industry. Throughout her adventures in LA, through a meeting with Capitol Records she was set up with producers Roy Hamilton lll and Raphael Hamilton (Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, NSYNC). Working with these individuals was an amazing experience getting to be a part of creating and writing a song. After the various meetings in LA, and the song creation of “You Know You Want It” this did not lead Sheena into the desired path or direction in her singing career that she was seeking to see it go in. After taking a break and a move to Vancouver in Canada she was unsuccessful in meeting the appropriate contacts to help drive her career in the right direction. During the break, Sheena poured her passion and drive into her occupation and spent some time in self-development and developing her business and leadership background by working for a major communications corporation in Canada. Though Sheena took some time off from singing and performing, her passion for singing has never left her. She realized she needed to continue fueling this passion which led to the decision to write and record her first album. Sheena has stated “I’ve never been happier or felt like it was a better time than now to show the world my music. The songs came pouring out of me. I am very excited to release my first ever album!” Sheena’s album “This is ME” is set to debut soon!
