来自英国威尔士的Funeral for a Friend曾经被rip他们音乐的0day组织说成他们见过的最差的乐队，对于他们的第一张专辑Casually Dressed and Deep In Conversation，在没有听过的情况下，我还是不做评价，虽然他们的名声早已在外。从第二张专辑Hours中我发现他们原来是一支emo乐队，就像曾经提到到过的My Chemical Romance，Emo这个词指的就是emotional，那种充满激情的硬派摇滚。所以对于他们是一支英国的团体有些意外，感觉上他们的音乐是美国式的摇滚，而在美国，他们的首张专辑也只是去年年底才刚做发行。新专辑的emo成分还是那样的浓烈，All the Rage着实让我对他们产生了分外的好感，接着他们的第一首新单曲Streetcar，也成为了他们的最佳成绩的单曲。他们的四首单曲都是排行榜前二十名，而歌曲本身也有着让人欲罢不能的诱惑力，在反复的音乐中你可以毫不费力的找到一条音乐的主线。不知是出于巧合还是故意，Roses For the Dead唱的就是死去的朋友，这和他们乐队的名字不谋而合，先扬后抑的节奏也让人感觉情到深处，相比之下Drive就要和缓许多，配器和vocal都比较低调，History在整张专辑中的地位比较突出，就像换了一支乐队一样的感觉，都说新专辑缺少了鼓手Ryan Richards的豪叫，至少在End of Nothing中可以略微窥见。
