Young for a Long Time

Little Texas became popular in the mid-90s with their unique blend of country and pop styles. These musical attributes are very distinctive on this great cd. Combining excellent vocals with high-powered insturmentals, Little Texas carved out a niche in both the pop and country genres. 


Kick A Little

This debut album has some great songs on it. My favorite is, "What Were You Thinkin" but "Some Guys Have All The Love" is also tops. I can't forget to mention "Down In The Valley", title cut, "You And Forever And Me", And "I'd Rather Miss You" are also so good that this album seems more like a "Greatest Hits" album then their first studio album. 


First Time For Everything

Younger and longer-haired than most Nashville groups to precede them, Little Texas cranked up the guitars behind a sound that otherwise closely followed the polished pop country of Alabama and Restless Heart. A stinging slide guide introduces the bouncy ditty "God Blessed Texas," for instance. More typical is "Some Guys Have All the Love," "Amy's Back in Austin," and "First Time for Everything," which stack sing-along harmonies on top of accessible, easy-to-follow melodies. Largely a singles band, most fans will find all the Little Texas they need on this 12-song collection, which gathers the hits from the previous three albums. After one more studio effort, the six-member band called it quits.
