Apocalyptic Love

Apocalyptic Love is the second studio album by Slash, the current lead guitarist of Velvet Revolver and formerly of Guns N' Roses. The album will feature Slash's band, consisting of vocalist Myles Kennedy, bassist Todd Kerns, and drummer Brent Fitz (collectively referred to as "Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators"). It is produced by Eric Valentine。All lyrics and music written by Slash and Myles Kennedy. Slash began working on his second solo album in June 2011. As of December 2011, three songs have been recorded: "Halo," "Standing in the Sun," and "Bad Rain." Slash has described the new music as "very heavy". As of February 6, the recording of "Apocalyptic Love" was finished. On February 7, Slash tweeted that the band were setting up to rehearse the new material and film their whole performance of the entire new record with Mativision. On February 24 it was announced that "You're a Lie" will be the first single from the upcoming album, being released to radio on the February 27. The preview of the new single can be heard on Slash's official website - slashonline.com Kennedy has said that some of the lyrics on the album are about using drugs in his early years.
