由(The White Stripes)乐队成员Jack White在2009年成立的一个新乐队。成员除Jack White外还包括The Kills乐队的Alison Mosshart、Queens of the Stone Age乐队的Dead Fertita 以及The Greenhornes乐队的Jack Lawrence。他们绝对是近段时间以来最受关注的新乐队，因为这只以后朋克为音乐方向的乐队的四名成员都来头不小，先是主唱为The Kills的VV(即Alison Mosshart)，再到主创人员The White Stripes 当中的Jack White，基本上这支新生军集结了The Kills、The Raconteurs、The White Stripes数支这十几年来在乐坛大有作为的乐队的中坚力量。The Dead Weather属于力量在暗处丛生的那种闷骚型音乐，Alison Mosshart充分发挥其嗓音当中阴郁又充满渴望的矛盾特质，偶尔Jack White、Dean Fertita、Jack Lawrence的和声令Alison Mosshart占据了乐队的主导位置。
