Andre Romelle Young is an American rapper, record producer, audio engineer, record executive, entrepreneur, as well as an actor who is professionally known as Dr. Dre. He is also the founder and CEO of Aftermath Entertainment and Beats Electronics, and was former co-owner of the record label known as Death Row Records. Dr. Dre Personal Life & Career Dre did his schooling at Vanguard Junior High School in Compton in 1976 but was transferred to the safer suburban school Roosevelt Junior High School. Later the family moved and lived in apartments and houses in Compton, Carson, Long Beach, and the Watts and South Central neighborhoods of Los Angeles.
