Apart from these, Alan Walker also got 36th rank on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs list of 2018. Alan Walker was born to Hilde Omdal Walker, a Norwegian, and Philip Alan Walker, an Englishman. He moved to Bergen, Norway with his parents and siblings at the age of 2. Computer programming and graphic design fascinated Walker during his early age, but music happened and without any musical background, Alan Walker started watching YouTube for tutorials on Music produce. During his initial days, Walker was known as "DJ Walkzz" or "Walkzz" and started using his real name, Alan Walker after signing up with a record label and releasing his debut single in 2014. Being inspired by EDM producers K-391 and Ahrix, and film composers like Hans Zimmer and Steve Jablonsky, Alan Walker started producing music on his laptop using FL Studio initially and eventually started posting his music to YouTube and SoundCloud. On 17 August 2014, Walker released the "Fade" track which was inspired by K-391 and Ahrix, whose tracks were also picked up by the record label. “Fade” gained over 400 million views on YouTube, and later Alan released his other hits "Spectre" and "Force" tracks in 2015. Soon Walker got under Sony Music Sweden and released his next single, "Faded", that was a remastered vocal version of "Fade" on 8 December 2015. This single hit the year-end charts in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden, iTunes charts in 33 countries. On 14 December 2018, he released the album Different World that has songs like Lost Control featuring Sorana, Lily featuring K-391 and Emelie Hollow, I Don't Wanna Go featuring Julie Bergan, Lonely featuring Steve Aoki, ISAK, and Omar Noir, and Do It All For You featuring Trevor Guthrie. Not just this, he was also part of Walker Tour (2016–2018), World of Walker Tour (2018), Different World Tour (2018—2019), and Aviation Tour (2019) accompanied by world-famous artists like Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Martin Garrix.
