Usher Raymond IV is an American singer, songwriter, actor, businessman, and dancer who was born on October 14, 1978, in Dallas, Texas. Professionally known as Usher, the singer was raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee until he shifted to Atlanta, Georgia. It was in the year 1994, Usher released his self-titled debut album "Usher" and came into fame in the late 1990s, and then in 1997, he released his second album My Way that gave him much worthy stardom. In 1998 Usher dropped his single "Nice & Slow", which produced his first U.S. Billboard Hot 100 number-one. The third album, 8701 was dropped in the year 2001, which yielded him the number-one singles "U Remind Me" and "U Got It Bad", as well as the top-three single "U Don't Have to Call". The song was a huge commercial success and sold eight million copies worldwide which was a tremendous accomplishment for Usher. Later on, in the year 2004 Usher dropped his 4th studio album Confessions, which established his name in the industry and provided him with a fan following. To date, he is recognized as one of the best-selling musical artists of the 2000s decade, as the album sold 20 million copies worldwide which included four consecutive Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles—"Yeah!", "Burn", "Confessions Part II", and "My Boo." and the fifth and final single "Caught Up" topped within the top ten and was certified Diamond by the RIAA.
