An Afro-pop duo/band from South Africa popular with the stage name Mafikizolo was formed in the 1990s. The band initially consisted of three members Theo Kgosinkwe, Nhlanhla Nciza, and their third late member Tebogo Madingoane. The band debuted in 1997 as a Kwaito group. Mafikizolo group is popular for creating awestruck music songs and albums across genres like Afro-Pop, Kwaito, House, and Afro-Pop. The band's third member, Tebogo Madingoane died on the 14 February in 2004, when they released their self titled album. In 1999 they released an album titled Music Revolution before releasing the direction-giving album Gate Crushers in 2000 which consisted of their several hits like Looto and Majika. In 2003, this South African Duo released Kwela which featured Hugh Masekela, and after the success of Kwela, the duo released Van Toeka AF which featured Nisixoshelani and Mas'Thokoze in 2005. Later on, in 2006, the band released Six Mabone which featured artists like O Tswa Kae and Undenzantoni. Owing to the huge success and respect they have earned in the industry, the duo went on to work with many big and popular labels such as Universal Music Group, Kalawa Jazmee Records, and many more. Mafikizolo since 1997 have released many albums such as Mafikizolo, Music Revolution, Gate Crashers, Sibongile, Kwela, Van Toeka Af, Six Mabone, Reunited, and 20, which not only went on to become a huge hit but also got worldwide love from their fans Mafikizolo Albums, Songs & More The Mafikizolo Group has been nominated 5 times for SAMA and won it 4 times.
