A proudly Zulu speaking girl who was born and bred in KwaZulu Natal at Eshowe, South Africa, Nelisiwe Faith Sibiya professionally known as Nelisiwe Sibiya is a popular South African singer, songwriter, businesswoman as well as actress. Nelisiwe Sibiya Debut and Early Days Nelisiwe Sibiya did her graduation from the Tshwane University of Technology where she was a Musical Theatre Student. She knows and speaks several languages such as IsiZulu, English, SeTswana, SeSotho, IsiXhosa, and SiSwati. Well-known artist Nelisiwe says that “She can’t wait for everyone to hear my music. She is a traditional girl, she loves maskandi music. She is trying to do something different. Her sound is called Afrokandi, a blend of maskandi, Afropop, and afro soul. She can’t wait for you guys to hear it.” When Nelisiwe was just 8 years old, she realized that she could sing. Her elder sister Thabisile was already a musician and can teach her the songs of great artists like Whitney Houston and Celine Dion. Nelisiwe Sibiya Albums, Songs & More Both sisters acquired such amazing talent from their mother’s side as everyone that side sings and are artists. When her elder sister passed away, Nelisiwe thought that she could never sing again but that phase of her life too passed and she became the voice behind Mzansi Magic's drama Lockdown's theme song - broke into the music industry, after she was discovered by actor and director Mandla N. Nelisiwe Sibiya is the voice behind Mzansi Magic's drama Lockdown's theme song. She was also signed by the label Black Brain Music.
