Lundi - Memorable South African Artist Lundi is a South African musician best known for one of his hit songs ‘Mphefumlo Wam’. Lundi was launched by Tshepo Nzimande who noticed him when he was working as a backing singer for Dr. Rebecca Malope. Soon after starting his musical career, he gained huge popularity from his fans across the world, he also received positive reviews from music critics. Lundi’s Medical Condition and Death in 2017 After the performance at the Jozi FM Annual Gospel Music Festival Lundi was first admitted to Edenvale Hospital and later that he was hospitalized at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital. Lundi was diagnosed with abdominal tuberculosis and liver conditions the same year in 2016, he was moved to ICU and put on life support. On 23rd January 2017 Lundi died which was shocking news for the industry as well as for his fans and followers worldwide as he was just 38 years old. In his musical career, he gave many hits such as Mphefumulo Wami, Nginga hlanzwa, Mama wami, Bawo Wethu, Hlala nami, Mina Ngithemb’uJesu, Akuvumi, Mvuleleni angene, Phaphamani, Ngaphakathi, Mawuhlakaniphe, Nkosi sihlangene, Bulelani ku Jehova, Benzenjalo, Leth’ukukhanya, Bawo, Wakrazulwa, and many more.
