Growing up we had it rough so

We learned to bluff

Enough to find our way back home

At the end of each day

Held your hand it's all I knew for such a long time me

And you were led astray

And some may say you're simple

You just love to dance around when the sun goes down

We drown out the sound

But it's so fickle in this world full of clowns

When it comes right down sometimes

As we grew we had a few new revelations

Complications all around

Life's a burden we found

We had to hide we kept inside

Our little game we thought it all would be alright
