Sweeter Than Candy

With a dirty nose pressed hard against the window

Of a candy store one day

A ragged little girl stood barefoot

While the hurried crowd went madly on their way

One lady stopped and smiled she said I think I'll go inside

And would you like to come along with me

Then behind that dirty face she saw a smile that made her day

They just don't make candy that sweet

Then she bought some shoes for her little feet

Then dressed her up fit for a queen

And with a smile that came from heaven
